- N : How long have you had this job?
- B: 32 years *she is retired*
- N: What motivated you to join this field of work?
- B: I had a neighbor who had a beauty shop when I was little (elementary).
- N:What is you educational background?
- B: High School Grad and Cosmetology School.
- N: What college did you go to?
- B: I just went to Beauty School.
- N: What was you favorite thing to do in Beauty School?
- B: In Beauty School, I liked to do manicures.
- N: What degrees did you earn?
- B: Junior Manager Degree (diploma), and Management Degree (after junior).
- N: What was your favorite part of the job?
- B: Communication with the customers.
- N:What are your future goals?
- B: To retire!!
- N Which goals have you achieved?
- B: To retire!!
- N: What is your least favorite part of the job?
- B: Long hours ( 7-9 hours, 14 max, 4 min).
- N: What is a typical day of work for you?
- B: Shampoo, put in rollers , put under dryer, style it, color, perm, or cut.
- N: What is your definition of success?
- B: Being happy, and being successful and make lots of money!
- N: What advice do you have for a middle school student?
- B: Study hard, do your best, and just know that you can be anything you want to be!
- N: How old were you when you decided on a career?
- B: 15 years old.
- N: Lastly, what were your plans A, B, and C?
- B: Plan A: Secretary, Plan B: Real Estate Agent, and Plan C: Sales Associate or to be a housewife.
